The Universe, “Branes,” and the Science of Multiple Dimensions

‘There can be different numbers of dimensions and there might be arbitrary numbers of branes contained within. Branes don’t even all have to be three-plus-one-dimensional; maybe there are other dimensions of branes in addition to those that look like ours and are parallel to ours. This presents an interesting question about the global structure of space, since how space evolves with time would be different in the context of the presence of many branes. It’s possible that there are all sorts of forces and particles we don’t know about that are concentrated on branes and can affect cosmology.’

Ain’t it though!

Our smartest cookies are trying to work out how string theory ties up with knot theory that behaves differently as it curls, unfurls and tunnels through branes following other rules. Quantum topology and tying knots with branes requires holographic modeling done by AI enhanced physicists of the future. Surprisingly    there is more research in quantum computing and communication than time line communication. We may get to speak with Howard the Duck before tomorrow …

Valve, MS HoloLens, Magic Leap [Google Glass in stealthy development] and others developing commercial VR HUD are beginning to move from the limited static VR to real integrated mobile hardware/software.
Other technology areas are offering audio feedback Bluetooth headphones and tactile and hence symbiotic AI cyborg and eventually Human2 bio-tech.

The distorting effect on light speed by gravity is now part of official NASA science. This allows the possibility of further researches into long term star reaching technologies.

These efforts as always allow for the artificial ‘limitation’ of FTL to become a mainstream possibility.

We now believe investigation into a modified human genome that encourages, understands and modifies or suppresses quantum tunnelling effects is required.

We also find clear evidence that the interface between quantum computing and our biological nature needs an interface on the cellular level. At the moment this merging is moving from the fear of the future cyborg to a recognition of the benefits of a controllable and integrated humanity.

Buddhism with its emphasis in the Western emergence is promoting meditation as its gem. The personification of the inner path to emancipation from our troubles. So we start a cushion/chair sitting or a slow walking commitment. We want to taste. We want to cook rather than read the recipes.

Some people when they start meditating, think meditating is like watching paint dry (one of my hobbies) and therefore too boring to do. Wrong. Or in fact this is exactly right …

Initially everything seems to happen … except the tranquility and peace of mind we seek. We can not sit still, the posture is unbearable, we remember all the things we should or prefer to do. The mind body complex is an unsettled jumble of thoughts, emotions, sensations that does not match the serene stillness we expect. The Hindu mystics describe a chariot with the horses all pulling in different directions. Our mind is an uncontrolled mess. Familiar?

However with perseverance it comes. The breath slows, opens and deepens. The mind chatter lessens. Not maybe, not perhaps. Guaranteed. It is similar to yoga. We stretch and balance. We relax into pain. We push and hold. We find less is more. Benefits in well being - guaranteed.

Well being is what I notice. Calm, less agitated a feeling of well being.

It feels good.

Quantum Enzymes, Robins and Light

Schrödinger proposed that there was something unique about life that distinguishes it from the rest of the non-living world. He suggested that, unlike inanimate matter, living organisms can somehow reach down to the quantum domain and utilise its strange properties in order to operate the extraordinary machinery within living cells.

Tsung-mi said, “Awakening from delusion is sudden; transforming an ordinary man into a saint is gradual”. This school held that it took time and dedication, years, to cultivate the discipline and virtue of a Buddha, i.e. for an ordinary person’s psychological development to catch up with the Enlightenment experience.

”..the enlightenment experience indeed offers a true view of one’ self-nature, but without exhausting selfishness. Some delusions, such as existential bewilderment, may be overcome by a deep experience. Other more deep-seated delusion such as craving, hatred and conceitedness can only be overcome by making ‘that which we have seen a living experience and molding our life accordingly.’”
